When a number starts with +234, you know it is Nigerian before you read another digit, and an address that starts with T is just as obviously a TRON address. The rest of the string is the actual line, long because it was generated by maths rather than handed out by MTN. The front tells you where it lives, not who owns it.

Crypto Wallet Address Examples, Network by Network

TRC20 (USDT and USDC on TRON). Starts with T, always 34 characters, letters in both cases. Shortened, one looks like
TXk4Lm…9bR7
(capitals stay exactly as they are). TRON's own documentation explains why it can only ever be 34 characters and only ever start with T.*

ERC20, BEP20 and Polygon. Starts with 0x, followed by 40 characters made only of the digits 0 to 9 and the letters a to f, for 42 in total.** Shortened,
0x71C7…976F
. If you see a g or a z in it, somebody has typed it wrong.

Bitcoin. Three common shapes: older addresses starting with 1, wrapped ones starting with 3, and newer ones starting with bc1. The everyday bc1q wallet address is 42 characters, per BIP-173, the Bitcoin proposal that defined the format, and it comes all in one case, like
bc1qw5…f3t4
.

Solana. No 0x, no T, no fixed first letter. Just a long Base58 string such as
7xKXtg…sgAsU
, mixed case, with no 0, capital O, capital I or small l (they look too alike on a screen). The full story on those capitals is in whether a crypto address is case sensitive.

The One Thing an Address Will Not Tell You

Here is where the country code picture breaks, and it is the part worth remembering. +1 belongs to the US, Canada and a good chunk of the Caribbean all at once, so the code alone does not tell you which country you are calling. 0x is exactly that. The very same 0x address can exist on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain and Polygon, and nothing in the string says which network the sender should use.

So when you share an address, send the network with it, every time: "USDT, TRC20, here is the address", in one message. And when you are paying someone, ask for both before you touch the send button. Picking the network the receiving wallet does not support is how money ends up somewhere nobody is watching, and there is no customer care line for a blockchain.

How Do I Get My Own Wallet Address?

You do not create one by hand; the wallet generates it. On Mular, open your USDT wallet, tap to fund it, pick the network, and copy the address the app shows you, or let the sender scan the QR code. As at 30 Oct 2026, the USDT and USDC wallets on Mular take deposits on ERC20, TRC20, BEP20, Polygon and Solana, so the network you choose decides which of the shapes above you get. And since you picked the network before the address appeared, you already know the one thing you have to tell the sender.

And if the person paying you is also on Mular, skip the address entirely. Send them your Mular ID, which looks like @sample, and the money moves between the two of you with no string of characters for anybody to mistype.

Is It Safe to Share My Wallet Address?

Yes, the way it is safe to share your account number. People can send money to it and, because blockchains are public, see what has moved through it; they cannot take anything out. What you never share is a recovery phrase or a private key, and no client, recruiter or "support agent" ever needs one.

Read the Front, Then Read the Network

Every address is still a cat on a keyboard, but now you know the breeds: T for TRON, 0x for the Ethereum family, 1, 3 or bc1 for Bitcoin, and no prefix at all for Solana. The front of the string tells you the family. Only the person sending the address can tell you the network, so make them say it.

Your USDT Address, With the Network Already Attached

Mular gives you one USDT wallet that takes deposits on five networks, hands you the right address once you pick one, and lets you pay any Nigerian bank account straight from that balance once the money lands. Check what it is worth on the USDT to Naira page before your client even hits send.

Download Mular and stop squinting at the first four characters.

As always, stay Jiggy.
Love, Mr Mular.

* TRON's address format (a leading 0x41 byte, Base58Check, a T at the front and a length that "can only be 34"), from the TRON protocol documentation, read 30 Oct 2026: https://github.com/tronprotocol/documentation-en/blob/master/docs/mechanism-algorithm/account.md

** "A 42-character address (20-byte segment which is 40 hexadecimal characters plus the 0x prefix)", from ethereum.org's accounts documentation, read 30 Oct 2026: https://ethereum.org/en/developers/docs/accounts/

Written because "crypto wallet address example" kept turning up in our search data, and the page people landed on only had Bitcoin to show them, which is a bit like answering "what does a Nigerian phone number look like" with a landline.

Related reading: the basics of what a wallet address is and how to get one, and if the string still scares you, whether you can replace it with a name instead.

A TRC20 address starts with T, an ERC20, BEP20 or Polygon address starts with 0x, and Bitcoin starts with 1, 3 or bc1.
